Business Analyst
# From Talent to Excellence with us
We are seeking a Business Analyst (BA) to act as the bridge between customers, development teams, and stakeholders. You will analyze, document, and manage requirements so that our solutions meet real user needs and measurable business outcomes.
🎖 What to do
Discovery & Requirements
Work with customers/PO to understand business goals, constraints, and pain points; ask the right questions to uncover the real need (critical thinking).
Translate discovery into clear, testable requirements (User Stories, Use Cases, Acceptance Criteria) and define scope/priorities with the PO/PM.
Documentation & Communication
Produce BRD, SRS, User Stories, Use Cases, Wireframes, and Flowcharts.
Create and maintain UML (Use Case, Activity, Sequence, Class) diagrams and BPMN process models to ensure shared understanding of business and system flows.
Ensure documents and models are written in neutral and clear language for both business and technical stakeholders.
Facilitate alignment across stakeholders; clarify trade-offs, risks, and constraints.
AI-assisted BA Delivery (AI literacy embedded)
Use GenAI tools—when appropriate—to draft/refine user stories & testable criteria, summarize meetings, analyze documents, and sketch fast wireframes/prototypes; always validate AI outputs.
UX Research Collaboration
Partner with designers to plan interviews/surveys/usability tests; synthesize personas & journey maps; iterate with low/high-fidelity prototypes before build.
Data-informed Validation
Collaborate on instrumentation, KPI definitions (e.g., conversion, retention); analyze data using SQL/Sheets/BI tools (Power BI/Tableau); support A/B testing to validate value.
System Thinking & Impact Assessment
Evaluate how changes affect processes, departments, data flows, security/compliance, and integrated systems (e.g., ERP/CRM); ensure solutions fit the bigger picture.
Development & Testing Support
Review solution designs and test cases for business fit; participate in UAT (plan scenarios, support execution, sign-off against objectives).
Change Management
Manage change requests; assess impact on scope, timeline, cost; keep requirements and artifacts up to date.
Pre-sales Support (when applicable)
Contribute to proposals/RFPs: business context, problems to solve, scope/modules, phased roadmap; coordinate with SA on architecture and PM on plan & effort.
🎖 What you should have
3+ years as a Business Analyst in software projects/products; strong understanding of SDLC and Agile/Scrum.
Proven capability in requirements engineering: User Stories, Use Cases, Acceptance Criteria, traceability.
Proficiency in UML and BPMN – ability to create and interpret Use Case, Sequence, Activity, Class diagrams and BPMN process models is a must.
AI literacy: practical use of AI tools to accelerate BA deliverables (drafting, summarizing, prototyping) with sound validation and governance.
Data analysis skills: working SQL/Sheets; familiarity with BI tools (Power BI, Tableau); ability to build dashboards/reports and interpret product KPIs; exposure to A/B testing.
UX research awareness: experience collaborating on interviews/surveys, personas, journey mapping, wireframes/prototypes, and usability tests.
System thinking: ability to see cross-process/system impacts, including compliance/security and downstream reporting.
Critical thinking & communication: ask incisive “why/how” questions; distinguish facts vs. assumptions; communicate clearly with both business and engineering.
Fluency in English (written & spoken).
Nice to have:
Experience with SaaS/product environments.
Japanese proficiency (JLPT N3 or equivalent).
Presales/proposal experience in software service companies.
Familiarity with Jira/Confluence, Figma/Miro, Postman, Git-based workflows.
