About the role:

The DevOps Engineer is responsible for bridging the gap between development and operations teams by implementing and managing the tools, processes, and infrastructure required for continuous integration, delivery, and deployment of software applications. Reporting to the Head of DevOps, the DevOps Engineer plays a crucial role in optimizing software development and delivery processes to contribute to the organization’s success.

Responsibilities:

• • Collaborate with development and operations teams to understand software requirements and infrastructure needs
  • Design, implement, and maintain automated build, deployment, and release processes
  • Configure and manage infrastructure as code using tools like Ansible, Puppet, or Chef
  • Monitor and troubleshoot production systems to ensure high availability and performance
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize software development and delivery processes
  • Implement and manage continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines
  • Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration using tools like Terraform or CloudFormation
  • Ensure security and compliance requirements are met in the software development and deployment processes

Candidate requirements:

• • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 1 year but less than 3 years of experience in software development, system administration, or related field
  • Excellent knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure
  • Strong understanding of containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes
  • Good understanding of version control systems like Git
  • Strong scripting skills in languages like Bash, Python, or Ruby
  • Excellent knowledge of Linux operating systems
  • Strong understanding of networking concepts
  • Good knowledge of database management systems
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent knowledge of CI/CD tools like Jenkins or GitLab
  • Strong understanding of Agile methodologies
  • Good knowledge of monitoring and logging tools like Prometheus or ELK stack
  • Excellent understanding of infrastructure as code principles
  • Strong knowledge of configuration management tools like Ansible or Puppet
  • Good understanding of security best practices
