This is a case study of app development about how Mynavi TechTus Engineering supported Ludiam Co., Ltd. in the development of their shared schedule management app, “Divvy up,” from requirements definition to release. Ludiam Co., Ltd. is the company behind the shared schedule management app “Divvy up,” led by its founder, Mr. Takagi. Mynavi TechTus Engineering supported the app development from start to finish.
The Background Story
The app “Divvy up” was born from a common frustration. As a hobby, Ludiam’s founder, Mr. Takagi, collects information about the e-sports industry. He found it difficult to track event information scattered across various websites and social media platforms. This sparked the idea for a centralized app that could not only manage personal schedules but also allow users to easily share plans with friends and family.
The Challenge of This Project
This was Ludiam’s first time commissioning a software development project. Mr. Takagi needed a reliable partner to bring his idea to life. He carefully evaluated about 20 potential development companies, comparing their costs, support models, and, most importantly, their development methods. He ultimately decided that full-scratch development was the best choice for the app’s long-term scalability, rejecting proposals for no-code solutions.
Why Mynavi TechTus Was Chosen
Mynavi was selected for two key reasons: trust and passion. While cost was a factor, the deciding element was the enthusiasm of Mynavi’s sales representative, Mr. Taniguchi. His approachable demeanor and Mynavi’s well-known reputation gave Mr. Takagi a sense of confidence. The decision was further reinforced when Mr. Takagi had the opportunity to meet the app development team from Mynavi TechTus Vietnam in person. He was impressed by their strong command of Japanese and felt assured that communication would be effective.

App Development Process & Support
Mynavi TechTus Engineering provided end-to-end development support, including:
- Requirements definition and full-scratch app development.
- Continuous project improvements through weekly online meetings, user feedback, and progress monitoring.
- Effective project management that ensured on-time delivery.
“There were no major issues during the project, and communication was smooth. Progress management was solid, and our feedback was carefully considered. With Mynavi’s support, we were able to achieve a smooth release.”
— Mr. Takagi
While some meetings ran long due to interpretation, Mynavi addressed this by improving time management and preparation for regular check-ins. Both the sales and development support representatives remained closely involved, offering reassurance and hands-on support throughout the project.

The Results
- Mynavi TechTus provided end-to-end development, from requirements definition to a successful launch.
- The project was completed on schedule in seven months, with two months for requirements definition and 5.5 months for this app development, at a cost of approximately ¥9 million.
- The app was released on time and is currently running smoothly.

Feedback after Delivery
Mr. Takagi was very satisfied with the project’s management, noting that the weekly online meetings kept everything on track with no major issues. He felt his feedback was always carefully considered.
However, he did mention a few areas for improvement:
- Time Management: Meetings sometimes ran long due to translation time between Japanese and Vietnamese.
- Detail-Oriented Review: Mr. Takagi realized it’s a shared responsibility to meticulously check every detail to prevent minor discrepancies that require corrections.
He praised the Mynavi team for their support, highlighting how the development support lead, Mr. Okabayashi, effectively clarified complex topics for the development team. He also appreciated the proactive approach of the sales representative, Mr. Taniguchi, who helped bridge the gap between Ludiam’s ideal vision and the project’s realistic constraints.
