Associate Product Owner
(IT Comtor)
# From Talent to Excellence with us
Every successful project begins with true understanding – and that’s exactly the role an Associate Product Owner (APO) plays. You’ll be the bridge between our Japanese clients and the development team, where every word and every shade of meaning, accurately conveyed, can shape whether a project stays on track or loses its way.
More than a translator, an APO brings peace of mind to clients and clarity to the project team – through dedication, a strong sense of responsibility, and a genuine drive to learn and grow every day.
🎖 What to do
Work directly as a member of the project development team, staying closely engaged throughout the project lifecycle.
Serve as the communication bridge between Japanese clients and the project team, handling interpretation and information exchange in regular or ad-hoc meetings.
Gather and analyze client requirements, and communicate them accurately and completely to the development team.
Understand technical content from the development team and explain it clearly to clients in an accessible way.
Prepare meeting content in advance and compile Meeting Minutes afterward, following up on action items to ensure nothing falls through the cracks.
Proactively identify unclear points or communication risks early, confirming details and coordinating with relevant stakeholders in a timely manner.
Continuously build IT knowledge, BA skills, and the ability to apply AI to improve work efficiency.
Perform other related tasks as assigned by the direct manager.
🎖 What you should have
- You are an ideal candidate if you:
Japanese proficiency equivalent to JLPT N1 and experience in a similar position.
Experience working in a Japanese business environment, with an understanding of Japanese culture and working style to help maintain strong client relationships.
Strong Japanese communication skills, logical thinking, quick problem-solving ability, and a high sense of responsibility, with the capacity to manage multiple tasks at once.
A proactive mindset, positive attitude, and strong sense of ownership at work.
Positive energy, professional demeanor, and a collaborative, approachable attitude.
You will have an advantage if you:
Background or experience in Business Analysis (BA), Testing, or Project Management.
Understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and basic IT terminology.
